These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of commuteco.in and the Commuteco shuttle service, operated by Commuteco (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using our website, onboarding as a rider, or booking a ride, you agree to these Terms.
1.The service
Commuteco operates a reserved-seat AC shuttle service on fixed routes across Chennai's OMR and Chengalpattu IT corridors. Routes run Monday to Friday. We may add, adjust or pause routes, schedules and pricing, and will tell affected riders in advance.
2.Eligibility & account
- You must be at least 18 years old to create a Commuteco account.
- You're responsible for keeping your phone number and account details accurate and up to date.
- You're responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
3.Passes & payments
- The Monthly Pass and any future pass types are priced as shown on commuteco.in at the time of purchase.
- Prices, ride caps, and pass validity are subject to change with notice before your next renewal.
- Passes are non-transferable unless explicitly stated otherwise.
- Refunds, where applicable, follow the policy communicated to you at the time of purchase.
4.Refund & cancellation policy
This section explains the circumstances under which customers may cancel their Commuteco shuttle service and receive a refund. It is also published as a standalone Refund & Cancellation Policy page.
4.1 Cancellation before the ride
Customers may cancel their booking or pass at least 48 hours before their first ride under that booking or pass is scheduled to start. Where a cancellation is made within this window, the amount paid may be eligible for a refund, subject to the applicable cancellation terms communicated at the time of booking.
4.2 Service not available
If, due to any circumstances, Commuteco is unable to provide the shuttle service for the particular route, area, or scheduled ride for which the customer has made a payment, the customer will be eligible for a refund of the amount paid for the affected service.
4.3 Refund processing
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method used by the customer, wherever possible. Refunds will be processed within 3–5 business days from the date the refund is approved. The time taken for the amount to reflect in the customer's bank account or payment account may vary depending on the payment gateway, bank, card issuer, or other payment service provider.
4.4 Non-refundable circumstances
Once the 48-hour cancellation window has passed, or once the first ride under a booking or pass has started, cancellations or requests for refunds due to the customer's failure to use the service may not be eligible for a refund, unless otherwise determined by Commuteco.
4.5 How to request a refund
- For cancellation or refund requests, contact our WhatsApp Support at +91 93420 44268 or email hello@commuteco.in.
- Customers may be required to provide their booking details and other relevant information to process the cancellation or refund request.
- All refund requests will be reviewed based on the circumstances and the applicable terms of the booking.
Commuteco reserves the right to modify this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page.
5.Rider conduct
Riders are expected to:
- Board and disembark only at their designated stop, unless otherwise arranged.
- Treat drivers, staff, and fellow riders with respect.
- Not engage in behaviour that endangers safety or disrupts other passengers.
Commuteco reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the service for riders who violate these expectations.
6.Service delays & changes
While we aim for punctual, reliable service, delays can occur due to traffic, weather, or unforeseen circumstances. Routes and schedules may be adjusted from time to time to improve service quality, with reasonable notice to riders where possible.
7.Corporate & vehicle partner programmes
Separate terms may apply to companies enrolling employees under the Corporate Partner programme, and to vehicle owners joining the Vehicle Partner programme. These will be shared directly as part of onboarding into those programmes.
8.Limitation of liability
